August 2025 marked the first month of our collaboration with New Breed Empowerment, and it was already filled with encouraging progress and tangible impact.
At Stepping Stones Day Care Academy, the children now learn and play in improved spaces, a newly equipped kitchen, an upgraded baby room, and brand-new educational materials. Seeing the little ones benefit from these simple but essential upgrades reminded us why early childhood care matters so deeply.
In Kleinbegin, a group of determined women started a large community garden. With support from New Breed, Sabba Movement, and our joint funding, they received seedlings, training, and soon new tools. This garden will help provide food and create small income opportunities - another real step toward independence and dignity.
Our Word Works literacy program has also restarted. Previous facilitators returned with enthusiasm, and we are expanding the program to farm schools around Bonnievale to strengthen early language and reading skills for young children.
During Women’s Month, New Breed hosted two empowering conferences, bringing together women from all backgrounds to share strength, stories, and hope.
The Jobs and Skills Center celebrated its own success: 21 students completed their Job Excellence course, 8 found employment, and one was even promoted. Twelve others finished online training through the e-Café.
And finally, through Arts and Culture, over 50 children and youth took part in dance workshops and performances - proving again how creativity can uplift a community. We are deeply grateful to see how this partnership is already creating real change on the ground.
Together with New Breed Empowerment, we continue our shared mission - standing beside, not above, and helping build dignity, opportunity, and lasting hope in South Africa.
